The client's brief for this project was to extend the side of an existing semi-detached house to an angled boundary, as well as two storey to the middle of rear extension. Another key part of the brief was to develop a series of design options to either include an existing conservatory or modify it to suit extension proposal; if this is not feasible, the conservatory can be removed to make way for the rear extension.

A number of the above design permuations were tabled for client’s review, taking into consideration
the budget for the project, planning issues such as scale, height restriction, right of light etc. After the design review process, the option to remove conservatory was considered the most suitable and cost effective solution for the development.
